Double Page Spread: Third Draft

FINAL FRONT COVER

This is my final front cover. After looking at my previous i thought it looked bare under the mast head on the right. I decided to add 'TOP 10 MOST POWERFUL WOMEN', this reinforces the ideology behind this edition of my magazine, women in music.  I have also changed the colour of the skin slightly, i did this because my model had some redness in the arms. It also gives off a very matte finish, which makes it look professional. 

Double Page Spread: Second Draft

To Start with I deleted the quote, which was placed the middle of my article. After I separated the text from article into two pieces. 

After, i placed my main image in the centre of the page and put the two text boxes at either side. I also moved the pull quote and the quick description of the article out of the way. 

I then drew round my image using the scribble tool (which can be found under the shape icon), this allowed me to make my text fit around my model. I also made my text go into one column rather than two and made the font sized 15. 

Once i had done all this, i put my pull quote and article description in the right place and made the outline of my model white so that you couldn't see it.

This is my second draft for my double page spread. I have used the same colour scheme as my magazine, as this shows continuity. Instead of having my main image be on one half of the page i decided to put her in middle with the text fitting around the shape of her body. This emphasizes the main image and makes her more prominent. I have also placed my pull quote in the centre of the page, this will make the reader notice it and be more attracted to read the article. Like my previous double page spread, i have kept the page number in the corner with the magazine website address. I have also kept the banner at the top with 'R Exclusive' as i think it looks more professional. However, the problem with this draft is that the main image is at the centre of the page so when you fold the magazine her face will be creased, which won't look professional.
